Video production / Cape Town

Good films start
with a clear idea.

Video production, with a personal approach. I’m a Cape Town filmmaker working with brands, agencies and creative teams, from the first idea through the shoot and final edit.

What you can commission

Built around
your brief.

The final scope depends on the film, the production and the formats you need.

01 / Automotive & brands

Make the product
part of a story.

Campaign films, automotive features and lifestyle content. Shape a visual direction that brings the subject into focus.

02 / Launches & events

Capture the feeling
of being there.

Launch recaps, event highlights and sponsor coverage, with attention to the atmosphere and details around the main moment.

03 / Social & cutdowns

Give the story
more places to go.

Vertical films, shorter cuts and campaign edits. Agree on the formats early so the shoot can support them.

04 / Stories & interviews

Bring the person
into the picture.

Interviews, portraits and short documentaries. Get to know the people, listen to their perspective and build a film around what matters.

The approach

From the first
conversation.

A starting framework. The details are shaped together for each production.

  1. 01

    Start with the brief.

What are we making, who is it for and where will it be shown? Bring the idea, references, timing and any practical constraints.

  2. 02

    Shape the production.

Agree on the visual direction, the coverage and the team the shoot needs. Consider the main film and its shorter versions together.

  3. 03

    Make the frames.

Bring the plan onto location or into the studio, with room to respond to the light, the performance and the moment.

  4. 04

Find the film in the edit.

Shape the sequence and rhythm, review the work and prepare the agreed cuts and formats.

An example from the work

Two shoot days.
More than one film.

The Jetour T1 and T2 I-DM launch was filmed at Lourensford Wine Estate over two days, producing a launch film and five cutdowns.

Before we begin

A few
practical things.

Where are you based?

I’m based in Cape Town, South Africa. Include the shoot location and timing in your enquiry so we can discuss the practical requirements.

Can a real shoot be combined with AI?

Yes. A hybrid film can bring filmed products, people and locations together with AI sequences. The creative direction determines what to shoot and what to imagine. Explore the AI page for product transformations, imagined stories and hybrid filmmaking.

What should I include in an enquiry?

Your brand or project, the idea, the audience, where it will be shown and your timing. Share a shoot location, references and a budget range if you have them.

What if the idea isn’t fully formed?

Start with what you know. A feeling, a reference or a clear purpose can be enough for an initial conversation about the direction and scope.

Can we plan a main film and social versions?

Yes. Formats and shorter cuts are best discussed at the briefing stage so the coverage can support them. The Jetour launch project is one example of this approach.

Can you join an existing creative team?

Share the production, the role you need and what is already in place. We can work out how I fit into your team and the scope of the project.

How is the project priced?

The creative brief, production requirements, timing and final deliverables shape the scope. Send the details you have so we can discuss an appropriate quote.

Every film starts with a conversation

we making?

Opens an email draft. A few lines is a good start.

Tell me the idea.
We’ll shape the next step.

Your brand or project, where the film will live, and the timing you have in mind. A reference or budget range helps too, if you have one.
